this old cat-house

My tip of the day: Find a cute individual who can do EVERYTHING. Woo them, marry them, then convince them to move to your hometown and buy the most disastrous monstrosity in London. Continue to be in awe when you come home from work and every day there is a brand new project completed.

Case in point: Ian bought this old reclaimed barn board and made a harvest table. Just made it. No lessons. When I asked him how he knows how to make a table he replied, "I just made it".

Footnote: Jodie just arrived and said "what a beautiful table! you need to change the benches immediately. the top of those benches suck-change them to match the table top".

Okay, nothing like motherly love.

Remember how Ian did so well in...was that first year physics? And got a letter from the...prof? Dean? Someone important, anyways, telling him that he should consider physics? (am I remembering the letter correctly?) Anyhow, I feel like that has something to do with Ian's proficiency at table making and generally being awesome.

The table is fabulous! The "Jodie" should not have been so hard on your bench tops - let her do the work sometime. I think it is such a great idea to build all those storage benches around the house, you really do have a lot of "stuff" to put in them and it is such a good way to make space. The mister should have his own tv series - I think it would be a riot to watch.

The transformation is your "older" home is amazing and I cannot wait to see it in person. Will you sell it once you get it all fixed up and move out of the ghetto? You could take on another home in need of love. Maybe Auntie will move to London and buy it.

Keep up the good work.

Auntie
