this old cat-house

Saturday, January 22, 2011

It wouldn't be an "old-cat-house" without our darlings. Here they are with their catnip treats from Jodie.
tasha:
plum and toshi:
and sam:
bathroom garbage, a door, baseboard and the new sink are strewn about our house. apparently it can be quite stressful to live through constant renovation, as we are finding out.
another shot of the bamboo floor:
Ian is getting so god at drywalling. Here is the wall that needed all new drywall. Ian put it up and then patched and mudded it, sanded and mudded, sanded and mudded:
and look how perfect it is! we have already picked out a paint colour and that should start tomorrow or monday. we still have no idea what type of counter to install, but we already have the sink, so we need to get going on that!
if everything goes on schedule, this bathroom will be done by the end of January. We are now in discussion about what is next: opening the attic, dining room, front hall and stairs or otherwise. the minute all the drywalling is done I am buying new living room furniture and have no idea what would fit in this old house. I am open to everyone's ideas!

Wow - things are moving along so fast, I cannot keep up! Ian is really good and maybe should hire out his services. A good company name would be.... IAN'S - We do it all including finding studs!!!!!! What do you think?

Those kitties are adorable and whatever furniture you buy you might want to consider if its claw proof. No point spending good money when you have playful kittens. I am a big fan of leather, it cleans up beautifully and is nice and cool on your skin when the temperatures get hot and you DO NOT have air conditioning, something to think about. Or, something with a paisley print would be just too funky. Can't you just see a red and lime green retro 70's look? Oh yeah!!!!!!

Now, I want to know what you are thinking about the attic........

Keep up the reno's...... Aunt Julie
