Last weekend we made another trip up to Niagara-on-the-Lake, this time making it a family event. Jodie and Kerry did wine tasting for the first time. The highlight for Kerry was her new friend (below) and I am pretty sure the highlight for Jodie was coming back to London and finding a bottle that she had purchased in Niagara for $27 in the LCBO for $14. Awesome.

Everyone appears to be perturbed over Kerry's empty wine glass. It is confusing isn't it?

I guess no words are needed. Either that, or there simply are no words:

Due to busy family schedules, the Arthurs-Smith-Moody-McCann-Henderson-Clarke Family decided to combine Thanksgiving and Christmas and celebrate "thank-mas". Kerry requested we add Halloween, since it is her favourite holiday, and Taryn threw in Cinco-de-Mayo after we caught her drinking margaritas at the event. Just kidding, she wanted to make Mexican foods and we are glad she did, because the snacks were delicious. Anyway, here is a family portrait of the costumes that were donned:

Seems like we all should have picked this one:

Happy day after Thankmasoweencincodimio to all my family and friends. I have spent the entire day carting empty wine bottles to the recycling bin and once it gets dark, I plan to place some more in my neighbours bin so the garbage truck does not call in an intervention at my house!

The food was delicous starting with the mexican palate and ending with the cheesecake course unless you are Kerry who was photographed grazing directly from the refridgerator at 2am. The evidence of her empty tummy were found piled nicely on the counter and those bones have since been disposed of.

The gift exchange was excellent and I am enjoying my new laptop cozy. The discussion was tabled about having the "children" do up stockings for the adults next year and we will leave that to you young people to determine.

The costume part of the day was very creative with 1st prize to Kerry (the lunatic) second prize to Jodie (an even bigger lunatic) and Jenny Sr (who is plain and simply a tart). Good job to everyone for participating. It should be noted that Auntie Rocker had a particularly difficult time with the removal of the water soluble tattoos!

The highlight of the day was the pinata and big thanks to those crazy relatives from London for their inspiration and hard work. How did they know the Henderson-Smith family would choose to go mexican? Oh well, OLE!!!!!

BIg hugs to all and thanks for a wonderful day. Until next year........ Auntie Rocker out
