this old cat-house

IT'S CHRISTMAS! this year ian and i celebrated christmas in edmonton with friends and cats. more so cats than friends, as we were cat-sitting which made 6 cats and 2 of us. one of the cats tried to be less of an intruder by pretending to be a present under the tree for most of the day.

you'll probably notice that every ornament we have is at least half way up the tree.

why? 6 cats!

besides the tree we also bought a pine wreath at the stratcona farmer's market. the cats really loved this too.
santa came to the house, bringing lots of gifts for us, but also for the cats.

here is plum in her new bandana

and dan-dan in her santa suit.
other festive fashions worn on christmas were funny hats by the cats.

next post will be less cat centred and more activity and decoration focused.

i guess that simply updating the blog once a week was too much for me, and since requests have been POURING IN from around the country to get a new post on i am going to go crazy over the holiday posting pics and updates. i will start with photos of the inside of the house to give a little tour:

the kitchen, yes a little messy but complete with a wire rack to hang pots and pans! the kitchen is in fact our first renovation station in the new year.

upstairs and downstairs bathrooms...look at the claw foot tub! my dream come true!

and here is the living room before christmas really got started...

stay tuned for the next post on christmas.
